Joyeuses Pâques 2018!

Joyeuses Pâques

Entirely unplanned, we now have an annual tradition of bonkers French Easter cards. See the frankly feeble Easter card we posted in 2016 and the terrified flying baby of 2017.  It’s been tough choosing for 2018, but this year a simple effort from the chicks has won us over again.

Below are some highly commended cards from this world of alarming vehicles, oddly attired animals and unstable aircraft.

Joyeuses Pâques!

What nightmare is this? Why is he in an egg? Did she put him there? He looks quite scared. What has this to do with Easter? We will never know…

Really? Armed chicks for Easter? Is this some sort of chick revenge story? Whatever message this card is sending it seems a long way from the Easter story as we remember it. Although  the petit Napoleon is sort of cute.

No no no. That vehicle is structurally unsound, not remotely aerodynamic and doesn’t even have headlights! An appalling Easter message.

Well this is rather sweet, if foolish. That airship will soon be dangerously overloaded with far too many frolicsome chicks to fly. There is probably a joke here about ‘eggs in one basket’ but they all look to be having a lovely time. May your Easter be as jolly – Happy Easter everyone! Joyeuses Pâques!
